Fender Starcaster Electric Guitar Rewired

Fender Starcaster Chinese. Don’t know the year but this one has a thicker neck than all the other samples of this model I have seen. Some players like this for more sustain and some like a thinner neck. I think this is more like the old U shape profile instead of the current C profile. There are some scratches in the black paint on the front and back (see pictures). This was a rewiring experiment. I also changed the bridge pickup to a humbucker (PAF style about 8K ohms). With the push pull switch on the tone pot it has 66 switching options. Some of them are redundant but you still get about 40 different tones. The switch assembly came from Awesome Guitars/Instruments. It has a warranty on it. The switches are mounted on a circuit board that has a terminal strip with spring loaded terminals. It is very easy to change pickups out with this setup (no soldering). About the only thing I didn’t do was put terminals on the output jack wires for a quick disconnect of the pickguard (or you could use wirenuts). I have not used it much since I put it together (too many other experiments and activities!), and I am NOT in the business of rewiring or reselling guitars with this equipment so don’t ask me to do any. Also I am not getting any money for labor at this price just the money back from materials. MOST OF THE OTHER GUITARS I LISTED HAVE EXCEPTIONAL HAND PICKED TOPS I FOUND ONLINE THROUGH MUCH SEARCHING OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS… SO SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS TOO! I am selling it because I now have a Gibson HP with a Tronical tuner and this will not take one (wrong tuner hole/posts spacing).
